  • Sophie Turner and fiancé Joe Jonas just got tattoos from Toronto artist Curt Montgomery.
  • Turner’s new ink is a minimalist bunny, while Jonas’s is a simple outline of a woman.
  • Some fans are speculating behind the meaning of the tattoos.
  • The woman could be a stand-in for Turner herself.
  • But neither Turner nor Jonas has offered an explanation behind their tattoo choices.

“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner, 22, is engaged to DNCE lead singer Joe Jonas, 28, and now they each have almost-matching tattoos. Turner and Jonas just went to the same tattoo artist, Toronto-based Curt Montgomery, to get different pieces in the same minimalist style.

Turner’s tattoo (her second that we know of) is a bunny rabbit, and it’s placed on the back of her upper arm.

Jonas’s ink is the second piece he’s gotten by Montgomery. The new tattoo, a minimalist portrait of a woman, sits on his forearm below an existing tattoo he had of a knotted rope.

Naturally, fans of the couple began immediately speculating about the meaning behind the designs. The comments on Jonas’s Instagram post are riddled with mentions of “it’s Sophie” or “it’s Sansa” (referring to Turner’s “Game of Thrones” character).

People on Twitter were also abuzz with speculation over whether or not Jonas’s design was intended to be a portrait of his soon-to-be wife.

But not everyone is convinced.

Turner’s rabbit design is a little harder to make guesses about, though people have posted several comments trying to get the actress to reveal her intentions behind the new ink.

Neither Turner nor Jonas gave a reason for their selected tattoos, though of course for many people a tattoo design doesn’t always have a larger meaning or symbolism.

Turner’s other tattoo is of the exact date — August 7, 2009 — that she and BFF Maisie Williams were cast on “Game of Thrones.” The friends got matching ink just in case one of them was killed off the show first.

Williams has already revealed that she’ll be a bridesmaid in Turner and Jonas’s upcoming wedding, though the nuptials will have to wait until after the final season of “Game of Thrones” is filmed.
